Siem Reap is a lively city with night markets, pubs galore and beautiful tree lined streets. We spent our first night exploring the markets, many a deal to be found if you are willing to barter. But even if you are not, it's still cheaper then home. Siem Reap has an incredible night life with about 8 square blocks of back to back pubs, massage vendors, cafes and artisan shops. Siem Reap is a must see in South East Asia. The second day our tuk tuk picked us up at 5am to watch the sun rise over Angkor Wat. What a magnificent place! It's no wonder that it's the seventh wonder of the world. It's 1000 years old, and has more stone in it's composition then the pyramids of Egypt. It took 30 years to build and was home to around 1 million people. All the stone was hand carved and placed perfectly. Many of the walls have intricate details and story lines chiseled into the stone. We explored temples for about five hours then we decided we were "templed out". Tomorrow we catch a night bus to Ho Chi Minh.
